A dual-role involving both backend development and application support. Responsible for implementing new features while ensuring the stability and performance of production systems. This role also includes participating in a rotational night support schedule to handle critical issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java-based backend features and services.
- Monitor and support production systems, investigating, debugging and resolving issues.
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and propose long-term fixes.
- Respond to support tickets, logs, and alerts as part of the support workflow.
- Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to ensure system reliability.
- Contribute to development and continuous improvement of support processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Java (8 or higher) and the Java ecosystem (Spring, JDBC Template, etc.).
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles (OOP, design patterns, etc.).
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
- Hands-on experience with issue troubleshooting, log analysis, and support workflows.
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities.
